Begin your journey with early pick up from your location in Nairobi for a 3.5 hour drive to Nakuru city therefore advisable to leave early so as to make the most out of your day.Along the way make a quick stop over for a quick photoshoot at the scenic Great Rift Valley Viewpoint a mysterious natural wonder that has stood the test of time.Embark on the journey after the break arriving in the mid morning ready for action
Mid morning game drive
It's a good time to start your game drive before the big cats retire to their hideouts to shield away from the sun.Expect to see large herds of buffaloes and antelopes as you start your safari even as you look out for the big five which is almost a must-see
Lunch break
After the mid morning drive you will break for lunch at one of designated campsites within the park enjoying the tranquility of the serene environment.Makalia falls deep in the park is a good place to enjoy a meal listening to the thunderous roar of waterfall as water flows down stream to find it's way back to the Lake
Afternoon game drive
Continue with the game drive stopping at Baboon Cliff a good spot for birdwatching and photography that offers an excellent panoramic view of the lake. Lake Nakuru is a haven for birds with Flamingos, Fish eagles, and plenty of other Raptors adorning the lakeside park another reason to keep your cameras ready
Later on, pay a visit to the Rhino sanctuary to learn something about the conservation efforts of these endangered species and a number of challenges encountered trying to protect the massive gems
Exit and Return Journey
Exit the park and start the journey back to Nairobi occasionally glancing at the shots and stunning images you captured a good reminder of the breathtaking adventure in one of the best parks in Kenya
